The Gamtoos Valley is synonymous with agriculture and farming activities.  This fertile region where fruit and vegetables are produced to distribute to the rest of the country, is widely known as the "Pantry of South Africa".  The target market of the expo is the producers of the surrounding farming areas as well as outdoor enthusiasts and related activities.

The Gamtoos Valley has the necessary infra structure and moderate climate to stage a successful Expo.  The valley lies between other intensively worked agricultural areas - the Langkloof, Tsitsikamma, and Sunday's River Valley - and this makes it effective as a place where exhibitors can show their wares.

Gamtoos Agri-Festival is seen as a show case of the Eastern Cape.  Some of the newest tools and technology in the agricultural field will be exhibited.  Cars, vans, lorries, forklifts, front end loaders and many more farming implements will be shown and interested parties can get behind the wheel and experience for themselves how it is done.  One of the secrets of successful grain farming is effective irrigation and this exhibit promises to be both informative and interesting.

Apart from demonstrations by dealers, the whole family is catered for.  Farm fresh produce will be available, competitions for big and small and a variety of stalls promise to entertain each and everyone.
